In a joint statement released by Alpha and Eurobank on Friday evening, the two banks announced the acquisition of Alpha’s branch network in Bulgaria by Eurobank’s subsidiary in Bulgaria, Postbank.
Following the completion of the transaction, expected by the end of the year, Postbank will become the fourth largest bank in Bulgaria in terms of loans and deposits operating with more than 200 branches and 3,000 employees.
