The visit of European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker to Athens on Thursday allowed the government to deflect attention from the embarrassing resignation a day earlier of the expert it appointed to head Greece’s fledgling space agency.

Juncker’s visit meant that the focus of the local media’s attention shifted to issues relating to the third programme and Greek-Turkish relations.
