PM outlines social dividend plans as Tsipras points way for SYRIZA

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced on Sunday how this year’s excess primary surplus will be spread out, overshadowing much of New Democracy’s congress and an apparent break from the party ranks by former conservative leader Antonis Samaras.

As the congress, which began on Friday, drew to a close on Sunday, Mitsotakis addressed the issue that has dominated media coverage over the past few days: How the so-called social dividend will be distributed before Christmas.
