After Article IV consultations IMF says challenges remain, substantial debt relief is needed

Following the completion of the IMF mission visit to Athens on the Article IV consultations, the Fund published on Friday afternoon its concluding statement with the preliminary findings. 

The IMF stresses that the initial fiscal adjustment and macroeconomic rebalancing were impressive, the growth prospects remain weak and subject to downside risks. Unemployment is expected to remain in double digits until the middle of the century.
