Percentage of Greeks at risk of poverty or social exclusion edges up to 35.7

The 2013 survey on income and living conditions in Greece released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) on Monday revealed that the percentage of Greeks at risk of poverty or social exclusion continued to rise in 2013, albeit at a slower rate, and reached 35.7 percent.

The number of Greeks at risk of poverty or social exclusion (those living with severely material deprivation) reached 3.9 million in 2013, up by almost 109,000 over 2012.
