A virus is spreading across China, but so is the demand for transparency
As the coronavirus in China leads to ever more expansive measures by the authorities in Beijing and governments as well as corporate entities across the globe, two aspects of this dramatic development are starting to come into greater focus: The management of information involved in this fast-moving public health emergency, and secondly the urgent need for Chinese authorities to manage their resources when dealing with this epidemic.

The dragon's head roars in Athens
It was a visit worthy of a plethora of superlatives. The arrival of China’s President Xi Jinping in Athens (November 10-12) was termed a “vote of confidence” for Greece.

Sino-Greek engagement: Path to 'win-win cooperation' is not always linear
Next week, the Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Athens. It is his first official visit, but his second journey to Greece. In July 2014, he made a technical stop on the island of Rhodes while on his way to Brazil to attend the sixth BRICS Summit (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) in Fortaleza, Brazil.

Welcome to Berlin: Mitsotakis meets Merkel
This Thursday the new Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis travels to Berlin for his inaugural meeting with representatives of the Germany government, most prominently Chancellor Angela Merkel. His official visit to the German capital is the second leg of his European travels, having visited Paris and met with President Emanuel Macron the week before.
