Alpha Bank announced on Friday the successful completion of its 800-million-euro share capital raise, following a three-day book building process, with the price set at 1 euro per share.

This is the second systemic bank capital raise after Piraeus Bank last month. It raised 1.38 billion euros that priced the 1.2 billion new shares at the top of the range, attracting broad participation at home and abroad. It was oversubscribed many times.
