Although most of the attention after the Easter break in Greece has gradually shifting towards the European Parliament elections on June 9, the economy continues to pose challenges for the government and to be a source of doubt about some policy choices.
Several government interventions to contain prices, short of tinkering with indirect taxes, have not had any major impact on the cost-of-living problem, which is by some distance the biggest concern of Greek households in all opinion polls.
