Gov't offers improved terms to farmers in bid to break deadlock

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras hosted on Monday afternoon the long-awaited meeting with farmers protesting tax and social security contribution increases.

Farmers from 52 roadblocks are said to have been represented in the talks but those from another 70 blocks across the country have requested a separate meeting with Tsipras, underlining the divisions among the protesters.
