Primary surplus at 1.24 bln in Feb on lower spending and recovering revenues

Greece’s budget execution showed the year to date primary surplus stood at 1.24 billion euros in February, which means it is down 40 percent but the underperformance has been trimmed to just 168 million from 1.37 billion in January, according to the Finance Ministry (MoF) preliminary budget bulletin published on Friday.

Unemployment rate edges up to 26.1 pct in Q4 2014

After easing in the prior two quarters, the non-seasonally-adjusted unemployment rose to 26.1 percent in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2014 from 25.5 percent in Q3, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
