Greece reported record high in daily infections and ICU usage on Wednesday, with 1,547 new cases and 108 patients intubated in ICUs. The new jump in infections prompted Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to announce a new month-long action plan to tackle the spread of the virus.
An emergency meeting of the government’s advisory committee convened on Wednesday to consider the introduction of tighter measures, both for infection hotspots and for the country as a whole.
