The government is on edge as it waits to see if the latest measures adopted to stymie Covid-19 have the desired effect and the pressure on the public health system can be eased.

Greece reported a record 2,166 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, while the number of intubated patients went up to 169. There were 13 more deaths, taking the total to 655.
