Vote on territorial waters puts PM's stance in spotlight
The Greek Parliament approved on Wednesday the extension of the country’s territorial waters in the Ionian Sea to 12 nautical miles by a massive majority of 284.
The vote saw ND coming around to a diplomatic initiative first proposed by SYRIZA when it was in power, in a manoeuvre which is being interpreted very differently by government and opposition.
