The government has launched its attempt to win the public relations battle over the next major element of its summer reform drive, the proposed changes to the supplementary pension system.

Labour Minister Kostis Hatzidakis is leading the exercise and he argued on Thursday that the changes proposed by the government will lead to pensioners being better off financially in the future.
