The plans by successive Greek governments to promote the country as a regional energy hub have been given an unexpected boost by the ongoing energy crisis sparked by the war in Ukraine.

Several investments by domestic players have been given the go-ahead, while a new gas pipeline to Bulgaria has been hailed as a game-changer for countries formerly dependent on Russian gas.
