Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was due to head to Thessaloniki on Wednesday to prepare the ground in the northern city for his keynote speech at the trade fair on September 9, but he left Athens with criticism from the opposition parties ringing in his ears after the PM held a meeting with officials to address the extensive damage inflicted by the wildfires.
