Budget marks return of trust, argues Mitsotakis

The 2024 budget was passed through Parliament yesterday with the votes of the 158 New Democracy MPs, and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis claiming that his government has rebuilt trust within the country as well as abroad.
The budget foresees growth of 2.9 pct next year, supported by a 15.1 pct rise in investments. CPI and HICP are due to converge next year to 2.6 pct, from the 4 pct region in 2023. The unemployment rate is seen at 10.6 pct in 2024, from 11.2 pct this yea...
