Three opinion polls published on Thursday suggest that, despite its recent difficulties, New Democracy is cruising towards a comfortable victory in the European Parliament elections and that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will likely achieve his goal of gaining around 33 pct, the same as the conservatives won in the last Euro vote five years ago.
A Pulse survey for Skai TV put New Democracy’s projected share of the vote at exactly 33 pct, with SYRIZA on 16 pct and PASOK on 12.5 pct. Ultranationalist Greek Solution is seen gaining 9 pct.
