Stefanos Kasselakis’s bid to win back the leadership of SYRIZA looks set to be stymied by his opponents via the party organs in the latest twist in the drama that has consumed the main opposition party over recent months.

A row over the ousted leader’s personal wealth set in motion the process to block his candidacy in the leadership elections, while one of his leading critics has called for his expulsion from the party he was elected to lead just over a year ago.
