The tension that had been building since the summer between Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his predecessor Antonis Samaras erupted over the weekend, when the New Democracy leader ousted the ex-premier from the party's parliamentary group after the latter criticised the government again in a newspaper interview and called for Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis to be removed from his position.
In the interview with Sunday’s To Vima, Samaras suggested that Gerapetritis should be “sent home” after the foreign minister said in an interview that he does not care if people call him a “sellout” for trying to find a resolution to Greece’s difference...
