Two more defections from SYRIZA have lost the party its status as the official opposition in Parliament, just days before it is set to elect a new president.
The development, which had been clearly signposted in recent days, returns PASOK to second place for the first time in over a decade, overshadowing the televised debate between the four SYRIZA candidates.
