PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis has been engaged in a delicate balancing act this week, trying to keep the channels of communication with New Democracy and SYRIZA open but also attempting to show voters that his party is not willing to play second fiddle to either of its opponents.
The long-awaited meeting between Androulakis and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis took place this week against a backdrop of disagreement between their two parties on whether to increase the taxation on banks, which have been declaring large profits.
