The third opinion poll to be published in two days shows support for New Democracy slipping and an extremely high level of public scepticism in the government’s handling of the Tempe rail crash.

Against this backdrop, the war of words between the government and opposition ahead of next Friday’s protests to mark the two-year anniversary of the rail tragedy is intensifying. The country’s judiciary has also been drawn into the argument.
