A coalition of left-wing parties have tabled a motion of censure against the government of PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis spurred by public outcry over the 2023 Tempe rail accident.

The latest polling shows public confidence in the government is collapsing, but support flowing to smaller fringe parties has created a dispersed political landscape.
