The OPEKEPE scandal is back at the top of the political agenda as Parliament is due to debate on Tuesday how to deal with the two ex-ministers identified in the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) into the farming subsidy scandal.
In the meantime, the government changed its stance on the European Union’s SAFE scheme for defence and will now draw loans to boost its military capabilities. The decision has fairly widespread political implications.
