Wildfires and healthcare failings test government over summer season

The government is bracing for the assessment of the toll from the latest spate of wildfires which are still burning across the country after weeks of dry hot weather. The summer season is also testing the national health system, with several reported incidents highlighting staffing gaps and ageing infrastructure.
