The government is hoping to follow the long build-up to this Saturday’s speech by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Thessaloniki International Fair with a public relations blitz as it strives to turn around the decline in its popularity. This poses a challenge for the opposition parties, which have found it difficult to gain a foothold in the political discourse in Greece since New Democracy came to power in 2019.
