Ahead of his trip to New York this week for the United Nations' General Assembly, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has been trying to rally his party, which does not seem to have benefitted from a significant opinion poll bounce - as some conservative officials had been hoping - in the wake of the recent announcements about substantial tax cuts for Greek households.
In the meantime, the Tempe train crash issue is threatening to become a major obstacle again for the ruling centre-right party after the father of one of the victims of Greece's deadliest rail disaster decided to go on hunger strike in front of Parliament.
