Top EU prosecutor lambasts anti-corruption efforts, calls for reform to bring ex-ministers to justice

Laura Kövesi, the chief prosecutor directing several investigations into the misuse of EU funds in Greece, said her office would not be deterred from getting to the bottom of corruption scandals like OPEKEPE and Tempe. In an address which will embarrass the New Democracy government, Kövesi called on Parliament to amend the constitution to remove protection from ministers, which she said got in the way of a full investigation.
