The government’s handling of the sudden closure of post offices has set off a chain reaction of initiatives by disgruntled New Democracy lawmakers designed to put the PM’s office on the spot.

PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis has promised to tighten rules on gun ownership and establish a strong police presence on the island of Crete after a family feud erupted in violence last week, leaving two dead and several injured.
