In a gesture signalling a return to “business as usual”, Deputy PM Kostis Hatzidakis chaired a presentation of the government’s reform plans for the coming year, New Democracy’s seventh in power, which will be heavily focussed on deploying the remainder of the RRF package.
After weeks of firefighting in response to the OPEKEPE scandal and the farmers’ protests, Hatzidakis, who is charged with coordinating the delivery of the government programme, outlined ten legislative proposals and around thirty key reforms for 2026.
