Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis used Monday’s meeting of New Democracy’s parliamentary group to send a message that carried distinctly pre‑election undertones, even as he repeated once again that national elections will be held in the spring of 2027.
His intervention was designed to steady internal nerves after months of turbulence, close ranks around ND MPs caught up in the OPEKEPE affair, and sketch out the political framework within which the government intends to fight the next electoral contest.
