MPs vote for referendum amid growing uncertainty about euro membership

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’s proposal for a referendum to be held this coming Sunday (July 5) on whether Greece should accept the bailout terms offered by the country’s lenders was approved by Parliament in the early hours of Sunday morning.

However, a great deal of uncertainty continues to surround the process and where it will leave Greece in the days after the ballot.
