The tension on the Greek islands hosting refugees and the opportunities for right-wing extremists to exploit the situation was highlighted over the last few days.

The Souda refugee camp on Chios came under a sustained attack last week from suspected supporters of far-right Golden Dawn, leading to tents being smashed or burned and at least one migrant being injured.
