Tsipras vows to cancel reduction of tax-free threshold as SYRIZA seeks way back

In a last bid to outfox his political opponents, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras announced on Tuesday night that his government will table legislation this week to overturn the reduction to the tax-free threshold for incomes, which was due to be adopted next year.
Speaking to public broadcaster ERT, Tsipras said the amendment cancelling the pre-legislated measure would be submitted to Parliament on Friday. He called on New Democracy, which will abstain from parliamentary proceedings this week in protest at the go...
