Retail sales rise by 13.1 pct in Oct, led by fuels and non-food sectors
Greece’s retail sales accelerated in October, rising by 13.1 percent, from a downward revised increase of 12.5 percent in September, Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) data showed on Thursday.
Retail sales have been growing continuously since April, after nearly one year of drop in sales due to the sector being hit hard by two lockdowns impacting Easter and Christmas, when sales are usually strong.
