Inflation at 12 pct in Sep as CPI records highest monthly rise of the year
Greece’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) jumped back up in September, rising by 12 percent year-on-year (YoY), from 11.4 percent in August, according to the data released on Monday by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
The average CPI for the rolling 12-month period increased to 8.7 percent, from 7.9 percent in the previous month. Month-on-month, the CPI increased by 2.9 percent, after two drops of 0.3 and 1.8 percent in the previous months.
