Industrial production up by 3.9 pct in Aug as rare monthly contraction is recorded
Greece’s Industrial Production Index (IPI) continued recording gains in August, although by a more modest 3.9 percent year-on-year (YoY), after rising by a downwards revised 6.5 percent in July, according to Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) data released on Monday.
The index has now grown in six out of the first eight months of the year and with only two exceptions in January and April this year has been on a general recovery trajectory since November 2020.
