Retail sales up by 14.1 pct in Aug, volume rises by 4.4 pct
The growth in Greece’s retail sales picked up pace in August with a rise of 14.1 percent year-on-year (YoY), following a downwards revised 11.5 percent in July, Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) data showed on Monday.
The corresponding volume index rose by 4.4 percent annually in August, after a more subdued 1.7 percent in July, one more signal of the cost-of-living impact.
