CPI moderates further to 7.2 pct in Dec, food prices soar by 15.5 pct

Greece’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 7.2 percent year-on-year (YoY) in the last month of 2022, slowing down further from the 8.5 percent in November, according to the data released on Thursday by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
The average CPI for the rolling 12-month period increased by 9.6 percent, essentially unchanged from the 9.5 percent in the previous month.
