Retail turnover grows by 10.8 pct in Jan, volumes of food and fuel sales drop
The growth in Greece’s retail sales picked up pace in January, rising by 10.8 percent year-on-year, after an 8.8 percent increase in December, Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) data showed on Friday.
The corresponding volume index rose by just 1.4 percent annually, as volume strips out the effects of inflation on prices that inflate turnover.
