Retail index continues to rise in Mar, but food sales volume stagnant
The growth in Greece’s retail sales picked up pace in February, rising by 11.3 percent year-on-year, after a 10.6 percent increase in January, Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) data showed on Friday.
The corresponding volume index rose by just 2.3 percent annually, as volume strips out the effects of inflation on prices that inflate turnover.
