Industrial turnover falls by 7.4 pct YoY in April for first drop since early 2021
Greece’s industrial turnover turned negative in April for the first time since early 2021, contracting by 7.4 percent year-on-year (YoY), from upwards revised growth of 3.3 percent in March, according to data released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) on Tuesday.
This is the first negative reading since February 2021, when the index had contracted by 3.1 percent and it has been recording much more modest growth rates in recent months, well away from the increase of 42.4 percent in August last year.
