Economic sentiment improves marginally in Aug, consumer confidence takes 7-point tumble
Greece’s economic sentiment (ESI) recorded a 0.7-point rise in August, after a 1-point increase in July, according to European Commission figures released on Wednesday.
Sentiment has been improving in nine of the last 10 months, essentially since October last year, and is now at the highest since early 2022. It is not far off the recent high of more than 114 points seen in February 2022, before the Ukraine conflict.
