July trade deficit drops by 21 pct, 7-month data points to export struggles

Greece’s trade deficit recorded a drop of 21 percent year-on-year (YoY) in July, after a decline of 14.9 percent in June, according to data released by ELSTAT on Thursday.

The deficit came to 2.45 billion euros for July. Imports totalled 6.72 billion euros, dropping by 17 percent YoY.
