Seasonal jobs for chefs, waiters and cleaners propel April hiring balance to highest on record

Greece’s employment balance had another strong month in April, with 132,352 more hires than departures, according to data from the Labour Ministry’s Ergani information system.

The hiring balance in April last year saw 123,059 more hires, a year-on-year improvement of 9,273 jobs. April’s balance is the highest since the records began in 2001, beating the previous high of April 2022.
