Hotel and catering jobs propel May hiring balance to new record
Greece’s employment balance had another solid month in May, with 126,660 more hires than departures, according to data from the Labour Ministry’s Ergani information system.
The hiring balance in May last year saw 95,951 more hires, a strong year-on-year improvement of 31,069 jobs. May’s balance is the highest since the records began in 2001, beating the previous high of May 2017.
