Strong primary surplus of over 8 bln at close of 2025 as spending is contained
The budget primary balance was confirmed at a surplus of 8.09 billion euros for 2025, compared to a surplus of 8.7 billion euros a year earlier, according to the final Finance Ministry (MoF) budget execution data released on Monday.
Expenditure, excluding interest payments and the public investment budget, came to 59.17 billion euros. Net revenues were 77.07 billion euros.
