Sharp drop in new passenger cars leads to 18.7% YoY decline for vehicle sales in Aug

The number of vehicles going into circulation for the first time fell sharply in August, with a drop of 15.5 percent year-on-year (YoY), after a decrease of 1.2 percent in July, according to Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) data released on Friday.

In August 2025, licences had decreased by 2.4 percent annually.
