Big falls for economic sentiment and consumer confidence in April

Greece’s economic sentiment (ESI) contracted by 4.1 points to 92.7 in April from 96.8 in March, according to the European Commission.

The ESI headline figure shows it fell to a historic low of 74.8 in March 2009 and displayed high volatility until October 2012. It then moved in upward direction until June 2014 (to 104.2) but has been declining since then.
